ePort Post #4

For my 4th post, I wanted to reflect on my last ever spring break trip. My sister, Victoria, and I had the same dates of break although we attend different schools. We had decided to fly down to Charleston, South Carolina to visit our friend, Nick.

Nick attends the College of Charleston in the heart of the city and wanted to show us around. His main goal was to introduce us to all of the famous movie stops and favorite parts of the city in just 4 days. Outer Banks and the Notebook were both filmed in Charleston and it was amazing to see some of the sets in person.

My favorite part was visiting the Bayou where the boat scene was filmed with Allie and Noah. We got to take a 45-60 minute boat ride under bridges and through the trees. Little did we know a baby alligator would follow us through the trail for about 10 minutes. We were absolutely petrified but it made our experience more entertaining than we thought! On our way home we got to see the theatre that they danced in front of throughout scenes of the film.

The entire trip was 75 and sunny except for one of our last days that rained. Being able to get out of the cold and dodge the snow was extremely nice. On our way back, we experienced a couple delays in our flight. Although we were exhausted, the trip was well worth it. Charelston's beauty is unmatched. It is a must to see the weeping willow trees, Rainbow Row and visit all the shops, restaurants and bars on King Street!
