Coming from a college senior this is one of the best discounts that comes with being a student. Throughout my 4 years, I have taken full advantage of this promotion. The official Red Sox website allows students to enter their college email and phone number to receive notifications and updates. Certain home games throughout the season will be marked down for students. Seats in certain sections are sold for just $9 and tax is 50 cents. The official MLB app allows you to purchase and access tickets with the touch of a button.
Just being in the stadium itself is an experience like no other. You can watch the game, grab some food with friends or explore Landsdown Street and other surrounding shops around the area. Before and after the games, the streets, bars and restaurants are packed with fans. The "Student 9" section is specifically designed for college students to sit together. It is a great spot to socialize and includes a bar for those 21 and older. This article I found is one of few that highlights the program and its benefits. B
Taking the MBTA into the city is both convenient and affordable, which costs just $2.40 each way. Some of my favorite memories are at these games, singing "Sweet Caroline" and "Dirty Water" alongside my best friends. The student tickets typically start to release in May and run throughout the summer until the very end of August. It is definitely something all college students should take advantage of!
